Much Gratitude

I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I sit in my special place overlooking Neenah Creek

My special place is a rock I call "The Butt Rock" that overlooks Neenah Creek. I like to go there when I need to feel grounded and connected to nature. Being here lowers my blood pressure, relaxes my mind and reminds me to be present. Today, as I was mediating on the Butt Rock, an overwhelming sense of joy and gratitude came over me. In an instant I was brought to tears, happy tears. Images of loved ones flashed through my mind, I felt a deep connection to the land I get to live on, and a voice said to me "you have the perfect team". My mind has been fretting over leaving the public education profession to pursue 5DWorks even though in my heart, it is the right path and purpose for me. I have had amazing help and support in doing so.The right people just stepped in as if magically they were placed there. I am truly grateful. The voice is right, I do have the perfect team.

Do you have a special place that grounds you? I would love to hear about your special place.

Some Things I Have Learned
By Kristin Moen September 27, 2022
I have been trying to recognize and be grateful daily for the abundance in my life. My husband Greg and I live on a 12 acre slice of heaven with a yellow brick house and an old style foundation barn that provides us many reminders. Starting in early spring with the daffodil, iris and tulip bloom heading into summer with the poppies, daisies, peonies, and sunflowers, the amount of color here is tremendous. I love the feeling of having just picked my fruit trees and thinking of how much we will appreciate all they had to offer come December when is is cold and snowy outside. (Cherries, Mulberries, Peaches, Apples, and Concord Grapes) The "Garden Harvest" is pretty amazing as well; peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, squash, egg plant, etc. These are easy physical daily reminders of the abundance I have all around me. How about the non-physical like love? I have so many special people in my life starting with my husband and family and expanding to my friends, neighbors, and co-workers. I can't leave out my 4 legged friends and wildlife that surround me. They bring me so much love and joy. On my "pity party days" I need to remember and acknowledge all the abundance around me. What abundance surrounds you?
